Time out

With my thesis out of the way, I’m now finally able to pay attention to real life again. Last week Val and I had a much-anticipated trip to New York to meet our nephew, Luca:

He’s just fantastic.

For us, two new gems in this trip were Prospect Park and Governors’ Island. Prospect Park is in the middle of Brooklyn, but you couldn’t tell from the scenery:

In Governors’ Island we found a festival where people dressed and danced like they were in the ’20s. We also found some great art galleries taking over a row of old houses:

New York is a beautiful city and it includes some of our favourite people. I wish it were closer to Victoria!
